Platonics have been in the gaming industry for some time now, making good headsets options that work with your PC & Xbox 360/PS3. Today however they’ve gone ahead and revealed a new Headset known as The Rig Mixer which allows you not only to connect the headset up to a PC, Xbox 360 or PS3, but also can be connected to a mobile device while you game, being the first Cross-Platorm Headset to achieve this. It also features an interchangeable microphone setup that can use either a noise-cancelling boom mic or an inline mic for use on the go.

EQ settings are also available via the turnkey (mixer) base which allows you to set you bass settings for maximum interaction with the game. You might be asking yourself why you might want your phone connected to the headset at the same time, and that’s so you can take calls through the slide of a button on the headset (the slider allows you to control which source to listen from), while you game. You can even listen to your phone to listen to music while you game via your headset, so you generally get the best of both worlds.

As for availability, you’ll be able to get it this Fall in the US (Spring in Australia) for $129 USD in Black or White. We like the black version though, so we might swing down for that when it’s out.
