Earlier this month we wrote about how we were sure Telstra were getting the Lumia 920, and that it might be an exclusive due out in November and today Telstra has gone ahead and pretty much confirmed that! While Telstra haven’t exactly confirmed the release date, Nokia’s expected late October pricing details suggest that a November launch is most certainly on the cards for Telstra customers. That’s great news since I’m on Telstra, and the Lumia 920 just might be one of the most exciting phones to hit the market in 2012. 4G is also included which means we’ll finally have a Nokia LTE device in Australia. Added to that, Windows Phone 8 and we’re looking at some good times ahead.
Optus and Vodafone both miss out on the Lumia 920 (Vodafone probably due to a lack of 4G didn’t help either) but both carriers will indeed be getting the Lumia 820 after all! The Lumia 820 doesn’t have LTE included, but it’s aimed at a lower pricepoint either way, with lower specs.
