‘Metro’ MetroTwit for Windows 8 coming soon

If you know us, then you already know that MetroTwit is our favourite desktop twitter client on Windows. However, if there’s one thing that the Metro side of Windows 8 is sorely missing is a good twitter client (or any twitter app for that matter worth using), which is where MetroTwit for Windows 8 (dubbed Metro MetroTwit) comes into play. I got a chance to check out the app personally on a tablet recently, thanks to one of the product managers on the MetroTwit team (it’s Long :P). And after a good play about with the app itself, I have to say I am very excited for this app to make it’s way to Windows 8 and think this will be the perfect addition to the Metro Platform.

We can only say that it looks like it belongs on a tablet, a metro tablet.

While we’re not allowed to show off any of the screen shots we have on our computers yet (since we’re obviously one of the first few people to see the prouct), we can tell you that you should be excited for this product as well – it’s fast, it’s Metro, and it’s MetroTwit on your tablet, what’s not to love? When we asked when the product would be out, we were given a subtle ‘soon’. With the recent launch of Windows 8 Release Preview, we know that it can only be a matter of time that we get the desktop app we love using onto the Metro Side of things. We’ll most certainly have more screen shots and a bigger preview when we’re given the go ahead so stay tuned for further news.

Will definitely be installing MetroTwit if I start using Windows 8 (still have to force myself to use the Windows 8 RP – already installed). Love the app on my Windows 7

It’s very good, you’ll see when I’m out with the preview (or general talk on the app) when it’s out.
