Official Google+ App for Windows Phone is in the making

It seems Google were listening when we said we wanted an official Google+ app on Windows Phones, and have just announced that there will indeed be one soon. Now, according to Stefan Keuchel who is a PR Rep in Germany, has confirmed that while there is no exact date for an app to be released – it will come. Keuchel even said that development hasn’t started as yet, but it gives us hope in that Google is finally considering it to be a worthwhile investment to create a Windows Phone 7 app. Of course, we still hope it’s better than their other app on the marketplace – Google Search which is just a poor version of the mobile site (we basically hate it and prefer to use the mobile site if we want to search using Google).

Now of course, Google+ isn’t the most ‘popular’ social network site around, and even though we use it from time to time, it’s still got a long way to go before it’s as good as Facebook or even Twitter. This is one way to increase participation for the mobile world (with an app for Android and iOS already out). So Google, the ball’s in your court now.. make it count!
