The History of Social Networking from 1971 (Infographic)

We found this very interesting infographic about The History of Social Networking sites, right from 1971 up till present day (perhaps a little earlier in 2011). It details the start from email right up till Facebookination (Facebook domination) in present day, and it’s actually very interesting to see how things changed, and how popular Myspace and Friendster were in comparison to Facebook when they all were at their peak.

It’s super interesting to note, that the first version of Myspace was coded in only 10 days (possibly leading to it’s ultimate failure!). It’s also interesting to note that it took 4 years for Facebook to finally dethrone Myspace to become the most popular Social Networking site.  Read on an enjoy finding out things you may or may never have known about the Cut throat World of Social Networking (OK maybe that’s an exaggeration, but you get our point).
