The Belkin Chef Stand, cook while keeping your iPad clean!
Now normally we’re not one to write about Accessories on Techin5, unless they’re really useful like the Belkin Chef Stand. I personally know how useful iPad’s can be in the kitchen, as I mount my iPad on the dock and fire up Epicurious before cooking up a storm (don’t laugh, I’m very good.. seriously, see my pictures on Twitter 😉 ). The only problem, is that I hate touching my iPad screen when my hands are dirty, for I fear about putting even a single drop of oil anywhere near my iPad. My future solution from now on? I’m getting the Belkin Chef Stand.
So what exactly is the Chef Stand? It’s a holder for your iPad, displayed in the picture above, in a beautiful chrome finish and it comes with a dedicated stylus as well so that you can turn your iPad 2 on or off whenever you want (without every touching it!). Best of all, the stylus allows you to browse the internet and flick through recipes without ever having to touch the screen yourself, and just for good measure it comes with it’s own holder so you can’t lose it. Don’t worry about getting the stylus dirty, it can be washed easily right after you’re done cooking up the biggest storm the world as ever seen.
As far as pricing goes, it’s priced at $39.99 and is available directly from Belkin. For me, this would be the best $39.99 I’ve ever spent and I’ll be ordering one myself very soon and you can find it right here. However, if you’re lacking counterspace, Belkin as you covered as well (note: only the Belkin Chef stand comes with a stylus).
Belkin’s also got you covered with the Kitchen Cabinet Mount. Using a safe mounting device, The Kitchen Cabinet Mount allows your tablet to be mounted anywhere in the kitchen safely (as long as its on a cabinet of shelf), and in an easy to view postion. You can easily reposition the tablet as well while it’s mounter for a better viewing angle as you cook.
The Kitchen Cabinet Mount is the priciest of the lot, and it costs $49.99 from Belkin, but it might be the most useful one of them all. You can find out more about it, right here.
The final alternative is the Fridge Mount for the iPad 2, which is exactly as it sounds. You can mount your iPad 2 onto your Fridge by using the Mount (which uses Maximum Strenght 3M Command Strips) and you can reposition the iPad exactly as you want. The Mount is built so well, it doesn’t damage your fridge (or the surface) when removing the Fridge Mount.
The Fridge Mount will run you $39.99, and you can get it directly from Belkin. Interested? Then head on to this link right here and pick one up yourself!
Fantastic options all round from Belkin, and you’d be silly for not picking one of these up! Ladies and Gentlemen, the choice is yours.
