Nokia N9 up for pre-order in Australia
Well Well, what do we have here? It seems local retail giant Harvey Norman has put up the pre-order page for the Nokia N9 up in Australia! We told you it was coming to Australia but you refused to listen, yet here we are! Well nevertheless, it seems Harvey Norman have just opened up the pre-order page and it seems that you’ll only be able to purchase it outright, and it’ll cost you a pretty $829 for the 16GB model. The 64GB model will cost $979 which we find outrageously pricey for a phone that’s meant to be the last of it’s kind (Meego). In addition, if you order before the 1st of October, you’ll get a free NFC Bluetooth Headset (which we find fairly ugly) headset worth $100 thrown in for free.
It seems Harvey Norman will also be shipping all 3 colors – Red (16GB only), Cyan (16GB only), and Black (64GB only) and if you want to get your hands on the 3.9-inch toting AMOLED screen, then head on over to the source link at the bottom and pre-order one today. Do note, that if you want carrier subsidised prices, then you’re going to have to wait till either Vodafone (confirmed), Telstra and Optus (also confirmed) (as well as all major retailers like lphones, Big W, Crazy John’s, Dick Smith, JB Hi-Fi, Fone Zone, Harvey Norman, Leading Edge Telecoms, Network Communications, TeleChoice and Virgin Mobile) announce their pricing in the coming weeks (if not days). Otherwise there’s no point waiting, click the source link and order some Meego Goodness today. Unfortunately as of now, no shipping time has been given yet but Nokia say this phone is releasing in October 2011.
Also, we suppose this gives a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘Dead on Arrival’.
