The HTC Sensation XE has finally been announced, and it’s looking like an incredibly powerful phone, not to mention the fact this phone is featuring Beats Audio since HTC invested in Beats by Dre. This will be HTC’s first phone with Beats Audio and it looks like it might just be a phone with the entire package – Sound, Power and Looks. For those of you ‘in the know’, the Sensation XE is an upgraded version of the HTC Sensation which was released not too long ago.

Let’s get down to the nitty gritty details then:

  • Processor – The Beats XE will feature an incredibly powerful 1.5GHz dual core processor which might just run all over the competition, not to mention any games and apps you throw it’s way.
  • Screen Size – The XE features a 4.3-inch S-LCD touch screen with a resolution of 540 X 960 making it a qHD display. It will most certainly look amazing!
  • Weight – 151 grams of pure dual core, beats audio packing phone. It’s quite light and while not the lightest out there, it’ll please people that it’s on the lower end.
  • Memory – The XE features 4GB of inbuilt storage and the phone also comes with either a 8GB or 16G SD card.
  • Camera – An 8 megapixel dual LED shooter is on the back to take care of all your photo needs, with a normal 1.3 megapixel front facing camera.
  •  Video – With a 1.5GHZ dual core processor, you get exactly what you’d expect – 1080p Video recording capabilities.
The phone also comes with a beefed up 1730mAh battery that HTC promises will giver longer operational hours. Furthermore, being a Beats HTC phone, the XE will ship with a special pair of Beats by Dre headphones which look extremely stylish and also allows you to answer calls on your headphones and control the music. Once the headphones are plugged in, according to HTC the headphones will will deliver fuller bass, sharper vocals and broader range through the Beats-Optimized sound profile.

The HTC Sensation XE will come with Android (most probably Gingerbread which will be upgradeable to Ice-Cream Sandwich) and HTC Sense 3.0. The phone will be expected to launch in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East sometime this year, although we still don’t have an exact date or a Price. Hopefully it’s not too high despite all the features it’s packing (although rumours point to a $800 off contract price). Whatever it is, it’s a phone we’re extremely eager to get a hands on experience with.
