Windows Phone Marketplace hit’s 30,000 Apps

It seems that close to 1 year after launching, the Windows Phone Marketplace has officially hit 30,000 Apps in it’s Marketplace, although sadly none of the 30,000 apps include what we really want. The beauty of this announcement is that it actually hit this figure twice as fast as it took the Android Market to hit the mark, and roughly the same time it took Apple’s App Store to hit this mark which is a huge achievement for the Windows Phone Ecosystem. It also only hit 20,000 apps in May, so it had increased the number of apps in just a short few months.

Furthermore it seems that with the marketplace now accepting Mango apps, this number is set to increase substantially as developers start flooding the Marketplace with their quality apps which have been built for Windows Phones and Mango. We expect the Marketplace to hit the big 50,000 mark before the end of the year, especially with developers looking more interested in the OS than ever.
