The first Windows Phone with Mango – The Fujitsu-Toshiba IS12T
That’s right the first Mango Phone has finally been announced, and it will be the Fujitsu-Toshiba IS12T. For those of you who are unaware what Mango is (apart from a delicious fruit), it is the next Operating System Upgrade for Windows Phones. Just like Android goes from Froyo to Gingerbread, or Apple goes from iOS 4 to 5. The new Mango update will have quite a few new goodies which users are really looking forward to, and we took a look at quite a few new features in this article.
So the first Mango Phone, called the IS12T (don’t worry, we’re not fans of the name either) packs some interesting features that should appeal to quite a few people out there, not to mention the crazy color schemes you see in the picture above (citrus, magenta, and black)! This product will be launched in Japan first in September, and it features a 1GHz processor, 32GB internal memory, a 3.7-inch WVGA Screen (which is a standard) and feature the other usual features.
The main draw here will be that this phone has a 13.2MP Camera on it’s back, which is big (whether or not it translates to good photo quality remains to be seen), and it’s expected to be waterproof which should appeal to quite a few people out there (though we’d rather no read tweets from your shower). Pricing is unknown right now, but while we wait for that, have a look at a few videos below of the phone in action here (the page is in Japanese but there is no talking in the videos).
