Hotmail adds ‘My Friend’s Been Hacked’ Options, makes it most used option

Well done Microsoft! You’ve finally added in probably the most useful feature into Windows Live Hotmail that we’ve ever seen, the ‘My friend’s been hacked’ feature which allows you to inform Microsoft if your friend is sending you dodgy links which most probably contain spam or, worse hack your account. While we might sound sarcastic above, believe us when we say this is a feature we wish Microsoft had implemented over a year ago when we were getting spam mail from our friends on a daily basis.

So when your friend emails you telling you to check out this awesome new site they’ve found where you can get the cheapest things in the world, hit that ‘My friends been hacked’ button and let Microsoft and the Windows Live team deal with them by simply going to the the ‘Mark as’ menu and from there.

So now that Microsoft’s got you covered, we feel it’s finally safe to go back to Hotmail. Good luck!
