Commonwealth Bank release Banking App for most platforms

Now granted the Apple app for Commonwealth Bank Australia has been around for a while, it was rather rubbish in parts. Thankfully, Commonwealth Bank (CBA) have improved the app, and on top of that added a tablet friendly CBA App version. The cherry on top of the cake is that CBA have finally expanded to other platforms, to include the likes of Android and Windows Phone 7, while giving no love to Blackberry Users.

Andy Lark, chief marketing and online officer, CBA, explained that he plans “HTML5 as well as native apps.” Lark also explained that CBA will “be there with NFC as soon as the handsets are ready to go. We’re working on it now. As soon as they are ready to deploy that technology, we aim to be there. You should expect us to lead very aggressively in the payments space.”
