Man Tweets from Mount Everest

So, thought you were cool because you’ve tweeted from 5 different airports around the world? Or because you’ve tweeted from 30,000 feet in the air? Well Kenton Cool (that’s his real name, we couldn’t make that up!) has just put all you to shame, by becoming the first person to ever tweet from the top of Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on our dear Planet Earth. If you’re wondering how he got signal from that height, or even  a bar of connectivity since we sometimes can’t even get that within our own homes, it’s because Mount Everest got 3G coverage in October last year, allowing climbers to tweet and Facebook their hearts out while on Everest. No one actually has till now, because they were fighting for survival or something trivial like that.

Kenton Cool (I mean seriously… I’m jealous) used his brand new Samsung Galaxy S 2 to tweet that message you see in the picture above at SamsungUK, which they are apparently using to do some smart publicity. Cool has actually scaled this mountain 9 times, and he tweeted from a place where people are usually trying to fight for survival, the summit, but instead Cool managed to flip out his new phone, send of a tweet and finish the climb. Move aside Bear Grylls, there’s a new man icon in town.
