iOS 4.3.3 Update Released – Fixes ‘Location-Tracking’

Apple has just released the lateset firmware update for Apple devices – iOS 4.3.3. Of course since it was discovered last week that Apple iPhones (and iPad’s) actually ‘track’ your location in real time, Apple has been forced to deal with the backlash of angry people who might or might not have taken to pitchforks in order to prove their point. So as suspected and promised by Apple, this update will reduce the size of the location database cache, and furthermore it will stop backing up that ‘cache’ to iTunes, and when you actually turn Location Services Off, it will delete your ‘cache’ (a special high-speed storage mechanism which stores certain information).

So are you one of those iPhone and iPad users that was so paranoid about being tracked by the Government.. er.. Apple? Well you can now rest easy knowing that your Apple device won’t quite be tracking you anymore. Least we hope not 😉
