AU: Apple drops iPod prices by up to $50!

Thanks to our Australian Dollar surely but slowly getting stronger against the American Dollar, Apple has decided to discount more Apple products since the iPad 2 was discounted at launch. The new list of discounted items now includes the iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, iPod Touch, and the strong but surely dying iPod Classic. The table above shows exactly how much each item was discounted by, comparing old and new pricing. The savings range from $4 to $50, and while it isn’t the greatest discount in the world, its a discount nevertheless.

It’s unclear as to why Apple isn’t discounting its other products (Macbooks, Apple TV, iPhones, etc..) but give it time and as long as our Australian Dollar continues to stay strong we should be seeing discounts on other Apple products in the near future (or at least we can stay wishful). You might find some retailers discounting the above prices slightly further, so drop by any of the retailers from now to pick up a discounted iPod if you haven’t already.
